The main picnic area in the Brisbane Ranges and the starting point for the Ted Errey circuit and the Anakie Gorge walk, with tracks to suit an hour's stroll or a full day out. Several picnic tables are dotted around with generous space between them, there is a controlled fire burner for the cooler months, and parking is ample even on a busy long weekend. The surrounding bush is full of birds and wildlife, and the paths through to the dam wall are a pleasure on foot or a mountain bike. The circuit walk is strenuous in places with some hard climbs, and the signage could do with more direction arrows, which makes it harder going for older walkers. Please note barbecues are wood fired.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
